Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes reminds residents that the County of Mercer will accept applications for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) until Friday, June 30, 2023. The County will continue accepting applications for the Universal Service Fund (USF) Program throughout the year.
Mercer County residents who pay their own heating costs, and meet the income guidelines (English, Spanish), may be eligible to receive financial assistance with their winter heating bill. Residents with medical conditions also may be eligible to receive cooling assistance.
Residents can apply for home energy assistance any one of the following ways:
- Drop off an application at the County Administration Building, Room 106, 640 South Broad St., Trenton. If an in-person appointment is necessary, please call 609-337-0933 or email [email protected].
- Email an application to [email protected].
- Fax an application to 609-278-2758.
- Send an application via regular mail to County of Mercer LIHEAP/USF Programs, 640 South Broad St., Room 106, P.O. Box 8068 Trenton, NJ 08650-0068.
