Important Information Regarding Your Work First New Jersey Work Activity Requirements - January 7, 2022

The Work First New Jersey (WFNJ) Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) cash assistance program normally requires that you participate in a work activity. During the COVID-19 public health emergency, the New Jersey Division of Family Development lifted this requirement.
It is expected that the requirement to participate in a work activity will begin again in February 2022. This means you will be required to participate in a WFNJ approved work activity for 30-35 hours a week.
Compliance letters are being mailed out now with further instructions.
