The Mercer County Department of Human Services, in conjunction with the Mercer County Board of Social Services, has re-opened the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) to help landlords and tenants in Mercer County in need of financial assistance with unpaid rent or utility bills and future rent or utility bills due to the impact of COVID-19, homelessness, or housing instability.
The Mercer County Board of Social Services will accept applications starting August 1 until funds are expended.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Households must document that someone within the household qualified for unemployment benefits, experienced a reduction in income, suffered major costs directly or indirectly due to COVID-19 that impacted the household, and demonstrated a risk of homelessness or housing instability.
Household income must be at or below 80% Area Median Income (AMI) with priority given to households at or below 30% AMI. Assistance is not guaranteed.
